Library cards are free to all people who live or own property in the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Photo ID and proof of current Whistler mailing address is required to register.
As a library card holder you are responsible for ensuring that your mailing address, telephone number and email address are kept up-to-date with us.
To prevent unauthorized use of your library card please report its loss immediately. Remember that you are responsible for all material borrowed on your card. The charge for replacing a lost card is $2.00.
If you are visiting Whistler from outside of BC you may purchase a visitor’s membership for $10 per month or $75 per year.
Library cards are also free to all residents who live within the InterLINK system, which includes Bowen Island, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Fraser Valley, Gibsons, Lillooet Area, New Westminster, North Vancouver City, North Vancouver District, Pemberton, Port Moody, Richmond, Sechelt, Squamish, Surrey, Vancouver and West Vancouver.
If you live within the InterLINK system, you can register for a library card at any other InterLINK library by presenting photo ID with your current address.
A library card from your home public library opens the door to public libraries wherever you travel – or stay – in British Columbia.
Obtain a BC OneCard by presenting your Whistler Public Library card along with photo ID with your current address at any public library in the province. Your BC OneCard will enable you to borrow materials at any public library in the province at no charge.
Likewise, if you are visiting Whistler from another part of the province you can borrow materials from our collection by obtaining a BC OneCard from our library with your home public library card and photo ID with your current address.
