High School Book Club 2011 - 2012

This book club is open to students from Grade 8 - 12 and will run from September until May.  We will meet on the third Friday of each month during the school year from 3:45 - 4:45.

As a group we will read a few of the same titles and meet to discuss these books. Check out the book list Other months we will choose a topic (last year we chose to read one fantasy and one steam punk book each), you may choose books from our book club selection, or read one of own choice.  Conversation promises to be lively! Join us and read some books you otherwise may not choose and hear about what others are reading. You will also have an opportunity to write reviews and post them on our website.    

The Books

We will be reading three books together over the course of the school year and for other months we will have themes that you, the participants will decide on. The books we'll read as a group are;

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Body of Christopher Creed by Carol Plum-Ucci

Meeting dates - We will meet from 3:45 - 4:45 pm on the third Friday of each month.  A small fruit or veggie snack will be provided with pizza for our December and May book clubs!
