More information about Asking a Librarian
Print collection
Teens will find useful information books throughout the library: in the kid’s collection, the adult collection and in their own Young Adult collection. These books can be borrowed and used at home. We also have Reference books in these three areas of the Library, and teens may find useful material in all of them. These books are rich in information that is useful for homework projects, but they can only be used in the library. Responding to a request from the Library’s Teen Advisor group, the Young Adult reference collection includes copies of all the major text books used at Whistler Secondary School.
Software
Encarta software is loaded on all of the Library’s public computers. Encarta has magazine and encyclopedia articles, but the outstanding features are the photos and video clips with sound. Ask to borrow the headphones so you can enjoy all the cool features.
