DESCRIPTION:Join Whistler Mature Action Community (MAC) for a new monthly series exploring all things health and wellbeing!\nJanuary Topic: Advance Care Planning with Sea to Sky Hospice Society, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Family Caregivers of BC.\nPresented by Jody Kramer from Sea to Sky Hospice Society, Karen Sanderson from VCH, and Pat Porterfield (MSN) and from the Family Caregivers of BC.\nAdvance Care Planning is about having conversations with family and friends, especially your Substitute Decision Maker – the person who will speak for you if you cannot speak for yourself – in case of a health emergency. We will learn about options, how to do this, and have a conversation about writing down your own wishes. We will also cover how to talk with healthcare providers, and financial or legal professionals.\nThis series is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided.
