DESCRIPTION:This session will offer an update on best practices for supporting people who use substances in their perinatal journey with a spotlight on:\n\nNicotine use in pregnancy\nCannabis use in pregnancy\nCare considerations including a harm reduction approach\nSafety considerations for children and household members who have unintentional ingestion of cannabis products\n\nThis virtual session is organized in partnership with VCH Substance Use and Priority Populations (SUPP) Team, area Physician Dr. Heather McEwen and PearlSpace Perinatal Outreach Worker, Stephanie Pintar. This is an offering for all service providers in the Sea to Sky, Whistler, Pemberton and Northern areas of Vancouver Coastal Health.\nRegistration is not required – visit http://surl.li/rzycan to join the meeting at 12 p.m. PST on January 28.\nEXTERNAL: We are sharing this event on behalf of our friends at Vancouver Coastal Health & PearlSpace.
