SUMMARY:EXTERNAL: Black History Everyday Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Black History Everyday challenges the conventional notion of confining Black history to a single month by highlighting its continuous influence on our everyday lives. In this session, Dr. Jennifer Adams from the University of Calgary will explore how Black contributions, narratives, and experiences are woven into the fabric of our cultural, academic, and social institutions. Drawing on her extensive research and expertise, Dr. Adams will examine the ongoing impact of Black history on contemporary society, discussing both the achievements and the systemic challenges faced by Black communities.\nAttendees will gain fresh perspectives on integrating Black historical narratives into everyday practices—whether in education, policy, or community engagement—and learn actionable strategies for celebrating and acknowledging the vital role of Black history in shaping our shared future. The session holds on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 9 a.m. PST.\nClick here to sign up for this free event.\nEXTERNAL: We are sharing this event on behalf of our friends at The Inclusion Project. The event is not being hosted by Whistler Public Library, and therefore may be updated, changed, or canceled with little notice.\n
