SUMMARY:REGISTRATION FULL: Protecting Wildlife: Grizzlies, Cougars & Wolves Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Please note: registration for this event is full! You may be interested in our Fall Bear Updates with Michael Allen – registration opens October 30.\nJoin us for a workshop led by independent wildlife researcher, Michael Allen, focusing on grizzlies, cougars and other species at risk.\nThis workshop is an opportunity to learn about the animals’ behaviours, habitat needs, and challenges (such as forest fires and other climate extremes) these predators and keystone species face. Michael’s extensive fieldwork and decades of research in the Sea to Sky corridor will provide a unique, science-based perspective on the vital role these animals play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.\nThis workshop is the final event of AWARE Whistler’s three part educational programming series, Protecting Priority Habitats campaign. Attendees will gain insights into the threats these species face, from habitat loss to human-wildlife conflict, and discover strategies for coexisting with wildlife while supporting conservation efforts.\nRegistration is required. Click here to register!\nThis event is presented in partnership with AWARE Whistler. This event is made possible by the generous support of Resort Municipality of Whistler and Whistler Community Foundation Environmental Legacy Fund.\n
