SUMMARY:Mindfulness Power Tools: Resilience
DESCRIPTION:Resilience isn’t just a buzzword. It’s part of being human and can be intentionally strengthened. Cultivating resilience can take the edge off everyday life, help you bounce back in difficult times, and improve overall well-being.\nThis 90-minute community workshop will explore accessible tools and guided practices for fostering resilience in everyday life. We’ll draw from present-moment mindfulness meditation and evidence-based approaches from psychology and neuroscience. The session will include immersive guided meditations, practical instruction, opportunities to reflect, and community dialogue. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen for notes and reflection.\nThis workshop is designed as an addition to your personal wellness toolkit, and not as a replacement for other forms of professional support. All levels of meditator are welcome.\nRegistration is required. Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca ( mailto:publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca ) to sign up!\n \nAbout the instructor:\nSusan Reifer has studied and practiced meditation for over 30 years, and has taught it for ten. A working journalist and essayist who has lived in the Whistler area since the late 1990s, Susan is also an expert mindfulness teacher who works with private clients, conferences and corporate groups. She has always loved Whistler Public Library and is delighted to help make mindfulness tools accessible to our community through library programs. Learn more about Susan at susanreifer.com.\n
