DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday, August 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. inside the library and in Florence Petersen Park as we celebrate the library’s 40th Birthday and the grand finale of our Summer Reading Club with a fun-filled Summer Wrap-Up Birthday Party!\nBring the whole family for an afternoon of crafts, games, music, and celebration as we mark four decades of stories, learning, and community.\nSchedule of activities:\n\n2 to 4 p.m. Games and Crafts\n2:30 to 4 p.m. Summer Reading Club Medal Ceremony with Whistler VIPs:\n\nMayor Jack Crompton\nOlympian Mercedes Nicoll\nA member of the Whistler Fire Department!\n\n\n3 to 4 p.m. Birthday cake (while supplies last!)\n4 to 5 p.m. A DJ Ira Dance Party!!\n\nPlease note: children who complete their entire Reading Record will be eligible for a medal! Make sure to bring your completed Reading Record to the party.\nThis event will go ahead regardless of the weather – activities will move inside if needed! This event is for all ages, and no registration is required.\nAdults are also invited to celebrate with us on Thursday, August 27 at 40 Years of Stories with Library Directors Past & Present.
