SUMMARY:The Write Connection: Pen Pal Exchange
DESCRIPTION:We’re piloting a new program in partnership with the Harnett County Public Library in Dunn, North Carolina! 12 lucky participants will have the chance to be paired up with a counterpart in Dunn and correspond through the fall. The libraries will provide supplies, postage, and some writing prompts to get the conversation started with your new friend.\nThis program will kick off on Tuesday, September 15, when participants will learn a bit more about how the program works and fill out an “About Me” form that will help the library team create our Pen Pal pairs. We will have one more in-person session at the library to write our first letters. After that, participants will write their letters at home and drop them off at the library (where they will also pick up their letters from their Pen Pals).\nAfter the program ends, our Pen Pal pairs can choose to exchange addresses and continue to correspond.\nRegistration is required, and spaces are limited!
