BC Public Libraries Open House
On Wednesday, September 14, we will be hosting an Open House as part of the Union of BC Municipalities Convention. Join us to experience how cutting edge technology available at BC Public Libraries has the power to excite, transform, and empower communities. Try out green screens, KEVA planks, Library Live and on Tour, Sphero Sprk+, telescopes, disc golf, virtual reality gear, and so much more.
The Open House will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. but set-up will start before we open, so seating in our Fireplace Lounge (including our study tables and laptop bars) will be unavailable all day, and it will be noisier than usual in the building! Our study carrels and group study area at the front of the building will still be available; we recommend bringing headphones (or borrow a pair from us) if you are concerned about the noise level.
This event is presented by the Association for BC Public Library Directors, the BC Libraries Cooperative, the British Columbia Library Association, the BC Library Trustees Association, Fraser Valley Regional Libraries, and Whistler Public Library.
