EXTERNAL: Climate Connections – Post-Secondary Education & Climate
The British Columbia Library Association invites you to join the BC Climate Emergency Campaign Speaker Series!
Higher education institutions serve as hubs for learning, research, and development. While they have the potential to be leaders on climate action, however, large bureaucracies can also pose challenges that may hinder progress. Hear from three speakers who will discuss how those within higher education can drive change from within, shaping institutions to prioritize climate learning and action.
Speakers:
- Sue Fairburn, Kwantlen Polytechnic University
- Dr. Kshamta Hunter, University of British Columbia
- Dr. Rosalind Warner, Okanagan College / Federation of Post-Secondary Educators, Climate Action Standing Committee
