EXTERNAL: Renting in Whistler – Tenancy Rights Workshop

Worried about renting in Whistler? Join the Whistler Welcome Centre and the Sea to Sky Community Services Legal Advocacy team for a Tenancy Rights Workshop.

Parneet Grewal, Legal Advocate at Sea to Sky Community Services, will share information about the law for renting in BC and answer your questions, including:

  • How many people can legally live in a house?
  • How do your rights change depending on your living situation?
  • What documentation can landlords ask for?
  • What happens when you move out?
  • Why should you document all communication with your landlord?
  • How do you recognize and avoid scams?
  • Where can you find help?

Whether you’re new to town or already familiar with the housing market, you will learn tips to help you find and keep a safe home in Whistler.

This workshop is designed for immigrants and newcomers to Canada who are renting or looking to rent in Whistler, however, it may also be relevant for people living in Squamish and Pemberton.
