The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, marks the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunar calendar. Join the Whistler Multicultural Society and Whistler Public Library to learn about Lunar New Year traditions through stories, fun facts, and cultural displays.
What to expect:
- Learn how to write a Chinese word on a red Banner/Fai Chun
- Make a paper lantern
- Make a Dragon Mask for a Lion Dance
- Make a Dragon paper puppet
- Chinese Zodiac Sign / Fai Chun colouring sheets
