Virtual Whistler Meditates

Our monthly mindfulness session offers guided practices, focused learning, and community connections. Sessions center on traditional and science-backed practices, skills, and tools that can make a difference in your daily life. Whether in person or via Zoom, Whistler Meditates combines experiencing with learning – all while gathering with others in our growing Whistler meditation community. Expect guided instruction, experiential discovery, and time for Q&A.

Everyone is welcome, from first-timers to practiced meditators, and from long-time locals to vacationing visitors.

Join us once, occasionally, or every month, as you wish. Guided by expert mindfulness facilitator Susan Reifer.

Best Practices for Zoom Whistler Meditates sessions:

  • Please plan to join the Zoom session with your camera on, your lighting positioned so that you are visible during class and your microphone available for portions of class that include shared exchange.
  • Support yourself by finding a quiet place to be while you attend class. If possible, join class while in a room by yourself with the door closed; if that’s not possible, find a quiet corner and use headphones. Ask your housemates and family members in advance not to disturb you during your 60 minutes in meditation class.
  • Consider participating while sitting in a supported, upright position rather than lying down.
  • Community dialogue supports everyone’s learning. Please consider voicing your meditation and mindfulness questions during the Q&A sections of our sessions.
  • Confidentiality supports everyone’s ease. Please maintain the confidentiality of anything shared by the facilitator or other participants during our sessions.
  • Please do not record or take screen shots of the session. Consider having a notebook and pen handy to take notes on anything you wish to remember from class.
