Wild About Nature – WAITLIST

Let’s get curious and creative in the great outdoors (also known as Florence Petersen Park)! We’ll explore science and all kinds of wild and wonderful things of Whistler.

Registration is required for this program! This program is for kids in grades 4 to 7 as of September 2023. Registration will open on Thursday, June 29click here to access our registration form.

July 14: Surviving the Wild  – As wilderness detectives, we’ll scour and scavenge for clues and traces of wild things around us. We’ll talk “Would You Rather” in the wild, go over the basics of wilderness survival, and venture into the unknown on a Forest Discovery Scavenger Hunt, learning about what predators and prey live in our area!

August 11: Volcanoes – In this session, we’ll be making volcanoes that will bubble, fizzle, and froth right before our eyes. We’ll learn about the Ice Age and what Whistler and Blackcomb mountains were like in prehistoric times, and literally ROCK OUT with earth-shattering stories and a rock IDing activity!
