Need an expert opinion on your writing? The SFU Writer's Studio offers free one-on-one consultations in partnership with Whistler Public Library.
Sea to Sky writers can sign up for a 45-minute, one-on-one consult with local author, SFU Writer's Studio (TWS) alumna, and current TWS SFU Creative Writing Studio mentor, Stella Harvey. Stella will provide specific feedback and recommendations based on your submitted work. If you don’t have written work for review, she is also happy to discuss a project still in the contemplation stage in order to clarify your goals for writing and to help you plan how you might get started.
These consults take place on the second Thursday of each month, starting in September 2021. The timing of your consult will be confirmed once you register. Our mentor is able to meet you in-person or virtually - please indicate your preference when you register!
Registration is required at least two weeks prior to the consult date. You can submit up to seven pages of poetry or prose, double-spaced with title and your name on each page with the page number on the bottom.
For more information and to register, email Library Program Coordinator, Jeanette, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program is presented by Creative Writing at SFU Continuing Studies & Whistler Public Library.
