Teen Reviews Project

Teens - you can now earn volunteer hours by reading and reviewing books! Publishers are sending us ARCs (Advanced Reading Copies) of new, not-yet-published books that you can borrow and review.

How does it work? Sign up for the project at the Youth Services desk. Take a book, read it, review it, and submit your review!

How many hours do I get?

100 pages read = 1 hour of volunteer time

1 review = 1 hour of volunteer time

If a book is within 20 pages of the next hour, it can be rounded up (ex. a 293 page book will count as 3 hours)

How long can I keep the book? Take as long as you need to read the book!

How to write the review? Reviews should be around 250 words. If you need inspiration or help, check out these handy tips! Once you're done, submit your review via email to Kaley at kobrien@whistlerlibrary.ca. If you want the review to be anonymous, let us know when you sign up or in your email when you submit your review.
