40 Years of Stories from Library Directors Past & Present

Whistler Public Library invites you to celebrate our 40th Birthday on Thursday, August 27, 2026! Join us in the Library Fireplace Lounge for a conversation with all of our past & present Library Directors – Joan Richoz (1986 to 2006), Lauren Stara (2006 to 2012), Elizabeth Tracy (2012 to 2022), and Mikale Fenton (2022 to present) – moderated by Program & Communications Coordinator Jeanette Bruce. From the basement of Municipal Hall to Whistler’s Living Room, we’ll share stories, challenges, and triumphs from the past 40 years.

Attendees will have a chance to share their memories as well! You bring your stories, we’ll bring the birthday cake.

This event is presented in partnership with the Whistler Museum; the conversation will be recorded for archival purposes.
