Bravely Going into the Unknown: Children’s and YA Authors Panel

The unknown can be a scary place, especially for youth. Moderator Sara Leach explores books with characters, both real and imagined, who boldly and bravely seek to find the truth, even when they don’t know what lies ahead. Join us for an in-depth conversation with acclaimed children’s and YA authors, Leslie Gentile (Shamus the Urban Rez Dog), Emily Pohl-Weary (How to Be Found), Andrea Warner (Rise Up and Sing!: Power, Protest and Activism in Music) and the 2023 Whistler Independent Book Awards winner for children’s fiction. These authors don’t shy away from tackling big, challenging mysteries and injustices in a way that all ages can absorb and understand.
