Join the Whistler Multicultural Society at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre on March 19, 2026 to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This community gathering will bring together employers, workers, community leaders, and residents to reflect, learn, and take meaningful action toward more inclusive and equitable workplaces in the Sea to Sky region.
The event will feature a keynote address by Hugo Vazquez, a human rights lawyer, former Mexican diplomat, and long-time advocate for equity, inclusion, and migrant worker rights. Drawing on his extensive experience in legal advocacy, community engagement, and human rights leadership, Hugo will share insights on advancing inclusion and dignity in diverse communities.
We will also officially launch the Sea to Sky Workplace Inclusion Charter, a community-driven initiative developed in collaboration with local partners to support employers in building welcoming, respectful, and inclusive workplaces.
All are welcome. Whether you are an employer, employee, community partner, or ally, this event is an opportunity to connect, learn, and commit to positive change together.
EXTERNAL: We are sharing this event on behalf of our friends at the Whistler Multicultural Society. The event is not being hosted by Whistler Public Library, and therefore may be updated, changed, or canceled with little notice.
