EXTERNAL: Supporting Today’s Teens: Parenting Perspectives Supporting Pre-teens

Join Whistler Community Services Society for an insightful sharing/learning opportunity on navigating and supporting our preteens while respecting each of our own parenting values.

A panel of parents from the community will briefly share their insights and knowledge from their own experiences raising/interacting with their children, and how they supported their children’s transitions from elementary to high school in our community.

We’ll then move to a table conversation with the participants. Each of the 6 invited panel parents/caregivers will host a table, prompting conversations with participants using prepared conversation starter prompts.

Invited Parents/Caregivers to start up the conversation:

  • Greg McDonnell – Parent, Registered Clinical Counsellor
  • Michele Stalker – Parent
  • Philly Ssenyonjo – Joy, Purpose, People, Youth Worker, Coach
  • Bo Banner – husband, Ex-Pro Athlete, Financial Planner, Coach
  • Jennifer Lord – Parent, Teacher
  • Sharada Clayton – Nurturer, Leader, Advocate

A snack will be provided.
