EXTERNAL: Supporting Today’s Teens
Join Whistler Community Services Society in discussing how we can create safe, supportive, and skillful spaces for teens to tackle their struggles. Each session a youth clinician will facilitate a discussion about a hot topic on teens mental health and wellness with the goal of understanding, learning, accepting, and supporting the teens in our community. Attend one session or all.
Facilitated by: Kelsey Schreiner (She/Her) MC, RCC, Youth & Young Adult Clinician, Whistler/Pemberton MHSU
For: Caregivers of teens/pre-teens – parents, caregivers, teachers, youth workers, grand-parents, or others supporting teens in the community
All sessions will take place at Whistler Community Services (8000 Nesters Road) from 5 to 6 p.m.
Week 1 (Tuesday, August 15): The Big Picture – Anxiety & Depression
Week 2 (Wednesday, August 23): Reducing Harm – Substance Use & Misuse
Week 3 (Thursday, August 31): All About ADHD
