Grown-up Summer Reading Challenge
This summer, we are piloting our first Grown-up Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge will be hosted on Storygraph, a reading tracker platform we are using instead of GoodReads, which is owned by Amazon. We’re challenging you to read four books (fiction, non-fiction, and genre and any format (physical book, eBook, audiobook)) between July 1 and September 30, using four prompts to choose the books:
- A British Columbia book (written by a BC author OR takes place in BC)
- A book about a library, bookstore, or books
- A book by an author you haven’t read before
- Your version of a “beach read”
Here’s how to participate:
- Visit app.thestorygraph.com to sign up for a free Storygraph account if you’d like to use the platform in your web browser. Or, download Storygraph from the App Store or Play Store and create a free account if you’d prefer to use the app version.
- Once you have an account, click here to find our Summer Reading Challenge (you can view the challenge without signing in but you will need a free account to participate!)
- Click the Join Challenge button.
- Start reading! Visit the challenge when you’ve finished each book to log your title under the correct prompt.
Email our Program & Communications Coordinator Jeanette Bruce at jbruce@whistlerlibrary.ca if you have any questions!
