Journey North with John Dunn
Journey North is a richly illustrated account of John’s 8,000 km series of wilderness expeditions covering almost every step of the way between Tofino, B.C and the northernmost point of Canada on Ellesmere Island. John will share stories, images and videos from his 400 days of paddling, skiing and hiking. Journey North is a celebration of the vast Canadian wilderness and of the joys and challenges of long self-propelled journeys.

About the presenter:
John Dunn is a wilderness traveller and photographer with a passion for the vast and rugged landscapes of the Canadian Arctic. Born and educated in England, John graduated in geology from London University and worked in mineral exploration in the Australian Outback. After moving to Calgary, he became a Canadian citizen and pursued his dream of exploring and photographing the Arctic.
John has organised and successfully completed over 20 arctic expeditions, totaling over 1100 days in the field. For his efforts in promoting awareness of Canada’s arctic geography John was made a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Not satisfied with some 12,500 km of sled-hauling, John has more plans for expeditions in Canada’s northernmost region.
