Mindfulness Power Tools: Compassion
Compassion is more than a feeling. It is a learnable skill. Research shows that cultivating compassion—particularly self-compassion—can reduce stress, increase resilience, and improve overall well-being.
This 90-minute community workshop will explore accessible tools and guided practices for strengthening compassion in everyday life. We’ll draw from present-moment mindfulness meditation and evidence-based approaches from psychology and neuroscience. The session will include immersive guided meditations, practical instruction, opportunities to reflect, and community dialogue. Consider bringing a notebook and pen.
This workshop is designed as an addition to your personal wellness toolkit, and not as a replacement for other forms of professional support. All levels of meditator are welcome.
Registration is required. Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up!
