Multicultural Community Kitchen: Korean Bibimbap

Multicultural Community Kitchen is back in person! Join the Welcome Centre team on Monday, April 11 and learn how to cook bibimbap, a Korean dish that includes rice, sautéed vegetables, and an egg.

The Multicultural Community Kitchen program, run by immigrants for immigrants and other community members, focuses on food and cultural sharing. Goals of this program include:

  • Bringing immigrants and community members together to meet and share their recipes and stories at regular monthly cooking sessions.
  • Creating opportunities for immigrants to learn/develop skills, knowledge, and confidence through courses and workshops including First Aid, Food safe, nutrition and gardening.
  • Helping community members become more aware, understanding, and appreciative of the diverse cultures now represented in Whistler.

This program is hosted by the Whistler Welcome Centre.
