WAITLIST SPOTS AVAILABLE: Everest Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Circuit: Comparing Two Nepalese Journeys

Please note: registration for our January 30 & February 22 presentations is full, but we are still taking names for the waitlists.

In October and November of 2018, Kevin Titus went on two somewhat-similar-but-very-different journeys in Nepal. First, he was joined by a large group of family and friends on a guided and porter-supported journey of the Three Passes variation of the Everest Base Camp trek. After a few days of recovering in Kathmandu, he and his sister travelled to Annapurna, where they did an unguided, no porters, no reservation, quick version of the Annapurna circuit.

Join Kevin for a presentation and discussion comparing these two amazing journeys, including the planning that went into each trip and why you might choose one over the other.

Registration is required! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up. If you’re bringing a plus one, please let us know their name and email address.

About the speaker:

Kevin Titus is a retired high school counsellor who has lived in Whistler for 40 years. His love for the mountains has taken him all over the Sea to Sky area, the Rockies, Base camp of Mt Everest, the Annapurna circuit, the Haute Route ski tour in France and Switzerland, a hut to hut trip in the Dolomites, and an expedition to Aconcagua.

The event is finished.
