Whistler Pemberton Newcomer Services Drop-in (Monday)

A Settlement Worker is at the library every Monday from 12 to 3 p.m. and every Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. for drop-in conversations – no appointment necessary.

Please note: there will be no Drop-in services on Mondays, December 22 and 29. This service will resume the week of January 5, 2026!

A helpful and friendly service that will support you while you adjust to your new life in Canada. Come learn about:

  • Rights when renting – tenancy dispute resolution steps
  • Banking & taxes – personal tax returns, personal finances
  • English language – ESL programs for beginner to advanced levels of English
  • Important documents – SIN number, MSP, and more
  • Health – information about how to access health care and family doctor
  • Schools & education – info about school registration
  • Citizenship – applying for Canadian citizenship workshops
  • Jobs & work – info about how to find jobs, résumé & cover letter workshops
