Sacred Beats: First Nations Drum Circle Experience

Embark on a transformative journey through the rhythms and stories of First Nations culture in our interactive drumming circle workshop.

Led by Brandon Hall from the Squamish Nation, this immersive experience invites participants to discover the spiritual significance and historical legacy of drumming in Indigenous communities. Engage in hands-on learning, where you’ll explore the craftsmanship of traditional drums, learn techniques, and uncover the cultural symbolism behind each rhythm.

For those looking to explore more about hand drumming outside of this workshop, you’ll have a chance to experience a handcrafted drum that Brandon has created for Whistler Public Library. This drum carries its own unique story, and it will be available for borrowing at the library following this workshop.

This session was designed for ages 10 and up.

Registration is required for this workshop! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up, max two spots per person.
