Saturday Sessions with MAC: Ageing in Place Safely in Whistler
Join Whistler’s Mature Action Community (MAC) for a monthly series at Whistler Public Library exploring all things education, health, and wellness!
October Topic: Ageing in Place Safely in Whistler
Presenter: Bob Deeks from the Whistler chapter of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, RDC Fine Homes, and Katarina Schreyer from Schreyer Construction
With many of us choosing to remain in our homes as long as possible, preparations can make your home safer.
In this session, you will learn tips on making your home safer to age in place. Our presenters will share tips for year-round preparation, including considering a care-giver suite. There are grants and benefits to help with projects you undertake and this session will assist in navigating that path. The presenters will answer questions on all aspects of home safety and home maintenance.
This series is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Registration is encouraged – email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up!
