Seed Swap Saturday with AWARE

We’re excited to co-host AWARE’s annual Seed Swap on Saturday, April 11 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room, with presentations from Two Sisters Farm and Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.  Say goodbye to buying packs of seeds when you only need a few! Bring your partially used seed packs and trade to grow new flowers and foods at home.

In these talks, Two Sisters Farm, a women-owned and operated flower farm that grows local dried flowers, will give a presentation on preparing your garden beds and planning your plot for the season ahead. Plus, Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council (SSISC) will discuss local invasive species, their threats, and safe disposal. There will be time for a Q&A following the presentations.

Registration is required for this event! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up.

This program is presented in partnership with AWARE Whistler. Did you know that we have a Seed Library? Located with the gardening books, the Whistler Seed Library is a partnership program between AWARE Whistler and Whistler Public Library. All Whistler residents are welcome to contribute and take seeds home. No library card needed!
