The Art and Science of Fail-Safe Starhopping – canceled!

Please note: this workshop has been canceled!

Join astronomer and SFU instructor Robert Conrad for an interactive workshop on learning how to starhop using binoculars and telescopes. There is both an art and science to starhopping that will change the way you look at the hobby, whether you’re a beginner or expert. This workshop will open a plethora of observing objects you might otherwise overlook. You’ll also learn how to use detailed star charts and a free software program called Stellarium to practice starhopping on those rainy or cloudy nights. Bring your laptop along with Stellarium installed for a virtual experience.

Registration is required, and space is limited! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up. This workshop is designed for adults.

The event is finished.
