Weaving Our Way Toward Reconciliation with Cheximiya Allison Burns Joseph

Cheximiya Allison Burns Joseph is a celebrated Squamish Nation artist who combines modern techniques with the ancient Sḵwxwú7mesh art of weaving. In this workshop, Cheximiya will present the history of Coast Salish wool weaving; after that, she will teach the group basic weaving techniques and participants will help her to complete a large-scale weaving project. The final product will be displayed at Whistler Public Library!

Registration is required for this workshop, and space is limited! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up, max two spots per person. This program is for adults!
