Weaving Our Way Toward Reconciliation with Cheximiya Allison Burns Joseph

Cheximiya Allison Burns Joseph is a celebrated Squamish Nation artist who combines modern techniques with the ancient Sḵwxwú7mesh art of weaving. In this workshop, Cheximiya will present the history of Coast Salish wool weaving; after that, she will teach the group basic weaving techniques and participants will help her to complete a large-scale weaving project. The final product will be displayed at Whistler Public Library!

Registration is required for this workshop, and space is limited! Email to sign up, max two spots per person. This program is for adults!
