Tell Your Library Story: On Record with the Whistler Museum

In celebration of the Library’s 40th Birthday, the Whistler Museum is seeking stories from the community related to the library. Do you remember visiting the library in the basement of Municipal Hall as a child? Were you involved in fundraising or advocating for the current library building? No matter where, when, or what your story is, personal experiences add invaluable information to complement the Museum’s archival collection. Visit the Whistler Public Library and share your story!

All sessions will be recorded and added to the Museum collection to be used for internal and external research purposes. Transcripts can be available for review upon request. These stories are meant to be shared, but participants can restrict some content if needed.

Registration is required! Email publicservices@whistlerlibrary.ca to sign up. Participants are welcome to bring someone to help tell their story – just let us know how many will be coming! Sessions are available at the following times:

Monday, August 17
10 to 11 a.m.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
3 to 4 p.m.

Tuesday, August 18
11:30 am to 12:30 p.m.
1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
3 to 4 p.m.
