Whistler Public Library’s 40th Birthday & Summer Wrap-Up Party!
Join us on Friday, August 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. inside the library and in Florence Petersen Park as we celebrate the library’s 40th Birthday and the grand finale of our Summer Reading Club with a fun-filled Summer Wrap-Up Birthday Party!
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of crafts, games, music, and celebration as we mark four decades of stories, learning, and community.
Schedule of activities:
- 2 to 4 p.m. Games and Crafts
- 2:30 to 4 p.m. Summer Reading Club Medal Ceremony with Whistler VIPs:
- Mayor Jack Crompton
- Olympian Mercedes Nicoll
- A member of the Whistler Fire Department!
- 3 to 4 p.m. Birthday cake (while supplies last!)
- 4 to 5 p.m. A DJ Ira Dance Party!!
Please note: children who complete their entire Reading Record will be eligible for a medal! Make sure to bring your completed Reading Record to the party.
This event will go ahead regardless of the weather – activities will move inside if needed! This event is for all ages, and no registration is required.
